About the Coalition

The primary goals of the Drug Free Fayette Coalition are to:
1) Strengthen community collaboration focused on substance abuse
2) Reduce teen substance abuse across Fayette County
The coalition focuses on the use of alcohol, marijuana, and prescription drugs among young people. Two Fayette County-based non profits - Fayette FACTOR and AVPRIDE provide oversight for this important work.
The Drug Free Fayette Coalition receives most of its funding through grants from federal and state agencies including ONDCP (Office of National Drug Control Policy), SAMHSA(Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration), CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) and DBHDD (Georgia's Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities).
